Matthew 5:8

O Lord Your eyes have pierced their way to my most secret part
Beneath Your gaze may I be made pure in heart.

O keep my ways untainted by this world of idol charms
No mask or guile, but like a child—pure in heart.
And you alone my eyes will seek, for you are my highest joy
I long to gain that gift so sweet—seeing you, Lord.

And when before Your throne I stand, made whole by Your own scars
I want to hear you say that I have stayed pure in heart.
Pure in heart.
Pure in heart.
